Rene Guim

Rene is an experienced, results-oriented professional with a proven track record in management, marketing, advertising, and public relations, with emphasis in brand management.
He began his career with the airlines in a variety of sales and marketing positions. At age 26, he served as the youngest Vice President of Marketing North American for an international carrier. Proceeded to open and operated one of Florida’s largest tour operations servicing international travelers and the cruise line industry.
Rene moved on to work at Miami-Dade government as deputy director/director of marketing for the department of tourism. After writing the strategic plan creating The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, was appointed the first Vice President of Marketing for The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade’s economic development agency.

With a desire to return to the private sector, Rene was recruited by an advertising and public relations agency as marketing director; he was made partner in less than a year. The agency grew from 3 Million dollars in billings to $50 Million in less than two years.
After selling his interest, Rene moved on to work at Greenstone Roberts, one of New York’s largest publicly held advertising firms. He opened their Latin America operation with offices in seven countries in the region and billings over $500 Million annually.
In 1998 Rene opened one of Miami’s most successful advertising agencies where he handled the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians Casino account. From 2002 to 2006, Miccosukee’s earnings increased from $28 Million annually to $178 Million. In 2007, he sold his interest in the firm to open his own Marketing & Branding Company specializing in Native American Tribal marketing and the Gaming Industry. He managed marketing and promotions for Seminole Casinos
Hollywood, the Apache Tribe in Oklahoma, and developed a strategic alliance with War Chief Media, LLC in New Mexico.

In 2011, Rene became a founding member of Miami Casino Management, LLC, and served as Chief Marketing Officer. The company was responsible for the ground-up development of the Casino at Miami Jai-Alai. A 40,000 sq ft expansion of the facility that housed Miami Jai-Alai since 1926. He has been part of the casino’s management team since its grand opening in 2012 and currently holds the position of Entertainment and Players Club Manager.
Rene is a member of the Board of Directors of The Diabetes Research Institute at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. He was appointed to The President’s Board of Advisors for St Thomas University. He is chairman of the United Ways’ Hand’s On Miami Marketing & PR Committee and a member of the board of directors. Past Chairman of the Greater Miami Host Committee for Miss Universe Pageant and Super Bowls. Past Board Member of the American Red Cross and Advertising Federation of America.
